Composting

In an ongoing effort to reduce waste in our households, an area we cannot ignore is food waste.  The Environmental Protection Agency estimates that 66 million tons of food is wasted annually and over 60% is sent to landfills.  We can do our part and start composting at our homes in either a composter unit or a simple pile.  There are also curbside services available to Boone County residents in the Whitestown and Zionsville area.
